The Pinstripers' history begins with a chance meeting between John Wrenbury and John Roe.  Some say it was on the 1066 train from Hastings to Charing Cross.  Others say it was in the Ashdown House library.  Here is the address given by The Revd. Lord Wrenbury at Pipe Major John Roe's memorial service in the Guards Chapel.

Going from the sublime to the ridiculous, here is a 60 second history.

Our privately published monograph in honour of John Roe is accessible here.  With thanks to the Roe family for permission to publish it on the web.
